China's Heilongjiang sets 60-billion-kg grain crop goal
For 2012, China's Heilongjiang, a major grain-producing province, targets to yield 60 billion kilogrammes of grain, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
In 2011 Heilongjiang produced 55.7 billion kg of grain, outstripping Henan to become China's biggest grain producing province.
The province's output of grain grew at an average annual rate of nearly five billion tonnes over the past four years.
