Lysine market lacks momentum in China as trade slows
Lysine prices stayed soft during the week ending February 12.
Producers of lysine were keen to clear stocks before the Chinese New Year holidays. However, feed millers and traders were reluctant to accumulate high inventories even as producers were willing to give discounts.
For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices were unchanged in the range of RMB10.60-11.20/kg.
Lysine market will be quiet as most feed producers have halted operation in preparation for the celebration of Chinese New Year.
RMB1=US$0.1581 (Feb 13)
