Philippine hog industry: Bracing for the tough times 

 

 

The recent turbulence in the trade markets across the world has done one favour to Asia's aquaculture sector: it has prompted the industry to be more cost efficient and competitive in searching for more opportunities.

 

Asia, being the leader of aquaculture production, has shown impressive progress amid market fluctuations and uncertainties these recent years.

 

In the following interview, Dr Farshad Shishehchian, founder of the Asian Aquaculture Network, shares with MEAT & LIVESTOCK Business Asia his main observations on Asia's aqua trade and his overall outlook for it.
