Lithuanian Agrowill's 2013 milk sales up 20%
Lithuania's Agrowill Group sold 19,820 tonnes of milk in 2013, which is 20% more compared to 2012, informs Lithuania's LETA/ELTA.
The researches revealed that the milk sold by all Agrowill Group companies was of high quality.
According to the company, these results were not only due to increase in the herd, but also due to the increase in productivity of cows. The herd of the cows was increased by 15.5% within a period of a year, and sales of raw milk content were increased by 20%.
"While striving for the high productivity of dairy farm, it is important to take into consideration the genetic potential of the cows in the farms, the conditions of the storage and the milking as well as all other processes related to the production of milk and cows' health including the staff working with the cows and feed," said Sigitas Japertas, the head of the Animal Production at Agrowill Group.
