An eFeedLink Exclusive
Price summary
Prices moved higher.
Market analysis
Heavy snows hampered deliveries of hog in several regions, particularly in the northern parts of China. Hence, even as pork demand was not particularly strong, prices of hog stabilised in most markets.
On average, hog prices inched up 0.49% while those of pork carcass edged higher 0.14%.
Market forecast
Hog market is expected to remain firm with supplies tight due to the adverse climates. However, while pork imports are ample and slaughterhouses remain cautious, price hikes are less likely to be tremendous.
