Alltech Philippines opens third satellite headquarters

by Gemma DELMO

ALLTECH Philippines opened its third satellite office in San Fernando City, Pampanga (North Luzon region), on June 20, 2007. Gracing the affair were company executives including Alltech Philippines General Manager Dr Noel Cuyno and Orla McAleer, Alltech's marketing manager for the Asia-Pacific. Farm owners and industry players were also present at the occasion.

The choice of Pampanga province as its third centre of operations was a unanimous pick for Alltech Philippines, according to Dr Cuyno. ¡¡ãPampanga is quite strategic as it is the meat processing capital of the Philippines. It is also close to Bulacan province which has a high density of livestock farming. And San Fernando is a city; it's quite accessible to major facilities and services. Our selection for this area just shows that we want to be closer to our clients in this region," he said.

The company is determined to open more offices in the Luzon area, but in the meantime, Alltech wants its presence felt in North Luzon, where livestock and poultry farming are vibrant. ¡¡ãWe want to be visible in this part of the country as we can accommodate more provinces from here. A number of companies initially expanded, but they contracted later and just maintained their offices in Manila. For us, we want to branch out significantly and most importantly, we want to have closer relations, higher visibility and send out a strong commitment to our clients that we are here for the long run. We are a local company, but with a vast global affiliation," Dr Cuyno added.

Alltech maintains its general headquarters in Alabang in southern Manila and its second provincial office at Davao in the Mindanao region.
