Thailand's egg farmers are desperate to hear immedi­ate answers as their chicken egg industry is hemor­rhaging. Farmers had to voluntarily cut production by 10-15 percent to ease the huge oversupply burden, running to about 2-3 million more than the daily consumption of 25-26 million eggs.
Most countries in the region are making the big shift from smallholder pig-raising to modern, commercial hog-farming. Is this the beginning of the end for outsourced pork?
